LANKAQR for Merchants

eZ Cash Merchants can sell products to any eZ Cash Customer or any 3rd Party FinTech/ Mobile Banking App users via LANKAQR.

LANKAQR is a common QR now issued by eZ Cash/ Dialog which eZ Cash Customers can instantly perform Over-the-Counter (OTC) payments from smartphones at any eZ Cash Merchant enabled with LANKAQR. This method will forego the use of a POS Machine and is simpler, convenient and a contact-free solution as it eliminates the need of handling physical cash!

How does it work?

The eZ Cash Merchant can display the LANKAQR code at their store/webpage/social media page etc. and the customer can scan the code using their eZ Cash mobile app or 3rd Party FinTech/ Mobile Banking App using their smartphone to pay. When customers scan and pay, the merchant will receive funds instantly to their eZ Cash Merchant Wallet. On completion of the transaction, both parties will receive a transaction confirmation SMS.

Once the transaction is successful and the confirmation SMS has been received, the eZ Cash Merchant can proceed to deliver the goods/services to the customer.

Merchant Fees

As a merchant, 0.5% from the total transaction amount will be charged for using the LANKAQR service.

Transaction limits

eZ Cash Customers can process transactions based on their available balance on the wallet and up to their wallet limit at a time.

  • ‘Classic Wallet’ Maximum Per-Transaction Value – Rs. 10,000
  • ‘Power Wallet’ Maximum Per-Transaction Value – up to Rs. 150,000

Any 3rd Party FinTech or Mobile Banking App customer can transact up to the available wallet limit of the eZ Cash Merchant Wallet.

Do I need to have a smartphone to receive payments from LANKAQR?
No, any mobile phone tagged to an eZ Cash Merchant Wallet is enough to receive payments.

If I have just the eZ Cash web portal and not a mobile number, can I still receive payments via LANKAQR?
Yes, you can still receive payments via LANAKQR.

Can any FinTech App / Mobile Banking App customer (including non eZ Cash users) scan and purchase products at my store?
Yes, eZ Cash mobile app and other 3rd Party Fintech/ Mobile Banking App which can read LANKAQR can be used to scan the QR code and pay.

How do I receive my money for the purchases made through LANKAQR?
The payments will be deducted from the customer’s eZ Cash Wallet/ Bank account and will be received in real-time to your eZ Cash Merchant Wallet.

How long will it take for me to receive the funds to my wallet?
The payment will be processed in real-time. Therefore, you will receive funds instantly, and a SMS confirmation will be delivered to your eZ Cash Merchant Wallet.

How much will I be charged as a commission for the transactions through LANKAQR?
Currently you will be charged 0.5% of the transaction value for using LANKAQR.

What is the maximum transaction value which can be processed per transaction?
eZ Cash Customer Wallet – Wallet limit size 3rd Party app – Rs. 25,000 per transaction

How does the reversal work in case a customer requests for a refund for a purchase made through LANKAQR?
If the payment was made through an eZ Cash Customer Wallet– you must contact the Retailer Help Desk on 777456456.
If the payment was made through a 3rd Party App – Request the customer to contact the relevant mobile application provider’s hotline.

How long will the reversal process take?
eZ Cash Wallet to eZ Cash Merchant – 1-2 working days – SLA.
3rd Party app to eZ Cash Merchant – 2-3 working days

What do I do if a transaction fails?
If the transaction is from an eZ Cash Customer Wallet– contact the eZ Cash Hotline on 7111.
If the transaction is from a 3rd Party FinTech/ Mobile Banking App – Inform the customer to contact the relevant mobile application providers hotline, also you should inform the Retailer Help Desk on 777456456

Can I get a replacement QR if the given QR is not working?
Yes, please contact your eZ Cash representative (Regional Sales Coordinator) for arrangements
