Dialog Axiata PLC, announced its partnership with Sampath Bank to introduce the revolutionary eZ Banking service, as an extension of the company's eZ Cash platform, Sri Lanka's largest mobile money network, facilitating a more convenient and accessible banking experience to customers.

Sampath Bank customers can now seamlessly and conveniently deposit and withdraw cash from their bank accounts at these eZ Banking retailers without having to visit an ATM or banking branch. Additionally, customers will not be restricted to the bank’s operating hours when conducting their transactions as most of the eZ Banking retailers are open for transactions beyond the traditional banking hours.

Commenting on this revolutionary initiative, Supun Weerasinghe, Group Chief Executive Officer of Dialog Axiata PLC stated, "Dialog is pleased to partner Sampath Bank to launch eZ Banking that would empower Sampath Bank customers with a platform for easy access to banking, from locations in their neighbourhood, especially when there are transportation challenges to visit bank branches and ATMs."

We are always looking for ways of making banking more convenient without sacrificing security, and this is a huge step forward in that direction," said Nanda Fernando, Managing Director of Sampath Bank PLC. "Not everyone in Sri Lanka lives within easy walking distance of a bank or an ATM, and not everyone can be sure of getting there within regular banking hours of a branch. With eZ banking, you get extended banking hours, and the ability to make banking transactions in many more places with cash that's closer to hand - even on holidays. It's a double benefit. Given the transport challenges we all face these days, I believe that this is a very welcome development."

eZ Banking will be initially available at selected retailers in the Western Province and will soon be extended to retailers island-wide.
